This is the annual gathering of the Finance and Economic Ministers of the Pacific Islands Forum.  Before the Ministers meeting, the Region's Senior Finance and Economic Officials meet to deliberate on issues which will be put forward to the Ministers.  The Forum Economic Ministers have a critical role in deepening regionalism through strengthening policy cohesion on agreed regional priorities and policy positions and advocating these in other regional and international fora.  

This is the first of a nine-part series to disseminate the findings of the World Bank report on a "Guide to Mobility for Livable Pacific Cities."  The first episode will focus on 'Ensuring Safe Urban Speeds'. The event will start at 12:00pm-1:00pm (Sydney time), 1pm Solomon Islands/Vanuatu time, 2pm Fji time, and 3pm Tonga/Samoa time. Register at the link provided.  

Every three years, leaders, representatives from civil society organizations, and development partners from the Pacific region gather to assess advancements in gender equality. Known as the Triennial Conference of Pacific Women, this gathering marks a crucial milestone in the region’s ongoing pursuit of gender parity.

The 8th Meeting of Pacific Ministers for Women will be held in Majuro, Marshall Islands. It’ll serve as a vital platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action toward building a more equitable and sustainable Pacific region.
