The United States Department of State is the latest PRIF partner, joining in 2018. The US Department of State leads America’s foreign policy through diplomacy, advocacy, and assistance by advancing the interests of the American people, their safety and economic prosperity. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is the US Government’s lead international development and humanitarian assistance agency. USAID work advances US national security and economic prosperity, demonstrates American generosity, and promotes a path to recipient self-reliance and resilience. USAID plans its development assistance programs in coordination with the Department of State to ensure that foreign policy and development activities achieve the objectives of the National Security Strategy of the United States. US government agencies, businesses, and institutions are spurring private sector-led investment, with a particular focus on infrastructure, energy, and the digital economy; strengthening civil society and democratic institutions; countering transnational threats; and investing in human capital across the Indo-Pacific region.
