PRIF Week 2024: Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure in the Pacific
8th to 11th October 2024
Building robust infrastructure—better energy telecommunications, roads, ports, and water infrastructure—across the Pacific is critical for economic development, increasing employment opportunities, attracting investment into new industries, and enabling Pacific countries to participate in the global economy. At the community level, climate-resilient infrastructure will allow remote Pacific communities to access essential services.
The virtual conference will present unique opportunities to share initiatives to deliver more effective and efficient infrastructure investment across the Pacific, mainstreaming climate disaster resilience into infrastructure planning, design and financing, innovative solutions to transferrable projects, building local capacity and new capabilities, and investment opportunities. The event will also share insight on inclusive infrastructure and digital transformation.
The conference will bring together development partners, Pacific infrastructure practitioners, Pacific government officials, private sector, regional organizations, professional associations, and academia.
The key conference topics include:
- Partnerships, Private Sector and Inclusiveness
- National Infrastructure Investment Planning/Public Finance Management and Maintenance
- Mainstreaming Climate Resilience into Infrastructure Design
- Digital Resilience
