The formulation of the National Development Strategy (NDS) is one of the key expected outputs of the Ministry of Development Planning and Aid Coordination as it strives for endurance and nation-building of Solomon Islands.
This Strategy sets out a framework for Development Programmes in the Solomon Islands and the basis for dialogue with Development Partners and stakeholders for support and implementation of the NDS priorities in the next 10 years. The Solomon Islands National Development Strategy 2011-2020 is intended to be a catalyst for development in the next 10 years in an effort to achieve the goals of Solomon Islands development agenda. This NDS is focused on the Solomon Islands as a united nation in its diversity, hence the National Vision of "A United and Vibrant Solomon Islands".
The strategy embodies the aspirations and hopes of the people of Solomon Islands with the overarching theme - To Build Better Lives for all Solomon Islanders.
