The Independent State of Samoa (Samoa) faces a substantial challenge to deliver on the United Nations (UN) Global Decade of Action 2020 to 2030 Plan to reduce fatalities and serious injuries (SI) by at least 50 percent and to set targets to reduce fatalities and SI in line with this commitment. This Road Safety Management Capacity Assessment (RSMCA) seeks to gain a broad understanding of the GoS road safety management capacity in order to support the country’s development of a new SNAP to improve road safety outcomes, and to then effectively implement those actions.
