Among USAID’s priority approaches is the provision of emergency water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services and supplies, and long-term support to maintain continuity of WASH services. WASH is essential for slowing down the spread of COVID-19. USAID is responding to COVID-19 by bringing together multiple sectors in order to address critical emergency response, recovery, and long-term resilience that helps prevent the next outbreak.
