The PRIF Management Committee on 4th March 2021 endorsed the PRIF Workplan for 2021 themed ‘Infrastructure and COVID19 recovery’ and discussed the Tuvalu national infrastructure investment plan.  The meeting was also informed of the progress of PRIF’s national planning support to the Cook Islands, Palau, Solomon Islands and Tonga that will be completed in the coming months.

PRIF has a $2.9 million national infrastructure planning program to assist its Pacific member countries. The infrastructure planning support involves a rigorous process, including alignment with the government’s national priorities, infrastructure asset condition assessment, and a multi-criteria analysis to prioritize the project pipeline. In addition, PRIF works with governments to build planning capacity and mainstream the prioritization process into the government processes.

PRIF would welcome inquiries from Pacific member countries interested in national infrastructure planning support.
