PRIF CO requires the services of a Technical Assistance Officer (TA Officer) in Fiji for a period of one year. The TA Officer will provide support to the implementation of the PRIF CO Phase IV workplan by managing PRIF CO technical assistance projects, supporting PRIF working groups, and act as liaison officer with partners, regional organizations, and the Fiji government.
The candidate should be a national of any of the 14 Pacific island countries covered by PRIF and currently based in Fiji or have the right to work in Fiji. The candidate should preferably have:
- A relevant tertiary degree in engineering, economics or infrastructure related field and minimum 7 years’ demonstrated experience in development consulting, project coordination and management, and/or working with one of the major bilateral or multilateral funding agencies operating in the region.
- Knowledge of the Pacific region and its infrastructure sector (transport, water and sanitation, energy, urban development, ICT) and related cross-cutting issues such as infrastructure management, climate change and disaster risk, environment, and social safeguards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate strong working relationships with PRIF development partners, government officials and policymakers, and other stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work effectively with international and national staff in a multicultural environment.
